Play This After A Long Day Of Work

2010 saw a great deal of change for everyone including yours truly. Had it not been for a fellow music connoisseur and games journo, Leigh Alexander -- I dread to think what this year's album pick would have been.

The Bitters are a Toronto-based band that have managed to steal my heart and ears from the veritable funk and rap records I typically listen to [peep the Honorable Mentions]. They [Aerin Fogel & Ben Cook] have a sound that oozes dark tones and echo-y messages. I dread even posting this. Ben Cook is apart of so many bands (Young Governors, Fucked Up, Marvelous Darlings, etc.) I'm hoping me posting this doesn't jinx another full-length album being released.

Honorable Mentions: Royce Da 5'9" "The Bar Exam 3", Big Boi "Sir Lucious Left Foot ... The Son Of Chico Dusty", Budos Band "The Budos Band III", Deerhunter "Halcyon Digest", Orgone "Cali Fever, Copywrite "The Life and Times Of Pete Nelson"
