Cartoons I Watched As A Child [For Better Or Worse]

There was a lot of crap to cut through when widdling down a list of crap I watched as a kid. Omitting the live action Nickelodean programs [which were awesome -- I mean who didn't like Salute Your Shorts?] I realize that my mom did an awesome job as far as raising me, but I'd have to say the old idiot box did its fair share of damage on my imagination.  Feel free to snicker and jeer as I reminisce and pine over some embarassing moments. FOX Kids, Kids! WB, Toonami, even some crap from Channel 55 [Cleveland] is thrown in this list for good measure. Maybe you'll see something you liked...or still love.

The Problem(s) I Have With Batman: Arkham Asylum

This Can Only End BadlyThis is not going to be one of those reviews which overly gushes praise for a game which is received it ten times over.  If you want that, I would suggest going to your local metacritic and having your score fetish satiated.  This review is more of a 'splitting of hairs' perspective. In case you did not know, Batman: Arkham Asylum is a great game.  If you are a fan of the comic and especially the animated series, then this piece of work made by Rocksteady, will more than likely exceed your expectations. However, for those reading this review months or years after Arkham Asylum's release, you are the consumer who may have slightly clearer vision.  Taking in the awesomeness of Batman: Arkham Asylum, let us discuss the issues in this well made, but slightly flawed masterpiece.

I don't know what else needs to be said. Its funny...I was just having a conversation with a fellow photography cohort of mine and we were sharing stories of how we screwed up our fair share of projects. But this...man, that DP sounded like he was ready to put his hands over his face and cover up until Bale tired himself out.

Video: How Awesome Is Mark Hamill As The Joker?

Seriously...the game could be absolute crap I'd play through it just to hear 'The Hamill'.  Sidenote: Is anyone else turned off by the 'meaty-ness' of Batman?  I've never seen him with such a square neck.

Batman: Arkham Asylum Trailer

I know it is just a trailer, but I just got slightly more excited for this game.  Looks pretty damn dark.  Not really cool with most of the character designs, but the Joker looks great!

Batman vs The Penguin : The Debate

Funny how art [yea I said it] imitates life.  Sidenote: Isn't it odd to see 'Mickey' from Rocky as the Penguin now? Man...this videos effectiveness works on a lot of levels.
