    Season's Beatings: Redemption, Oct. 15th - 18th

Its that time of year again. I’m sure anyone reading this is well prepared for the Midwest’s premiere fighting game tournament, but in case you are a new comer I would suggest venturing over to the Shoryuken boards and introducing yourself to some of the best and brightest minds when it comes to this amazing tournament. Now because of last year’s incredible turnout there I would suggest getting your money and skills in order. There will be a $30 dollar flat rate to enter the venue, so why not save up a couple extra shillings and enter a tournament or two.

As per the usual, I will be there with my camera documenting the event -- heck, I may even try my hand at a tourney or two. Rest assured, this is a tournament you do not want to miss. Daigo, Gamerbee, Choco and Momochi have already confirmed to be in attendance and if that doesn’t get you hype, then you may want to reconsider calling yourself a fighting game fan.

Stay tuned for further updates on SBV: Redemption.

After the jump are the details and official press release about the event thus far.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    What:

More than 500 competitors from across North America competed for $7,000 in cash at last year’s Season’s Beatings Street Fighter videogaming event, with Japan’s national champion earning victory in Columbus, Ohio.

This year, the world’s champions from Japan, Taiwan, the U.S. and Canada converge to battle for paydays and pride in front of their peers and 10,000+ viewers across the globe. Season’s Beatings: Redemption will feature more players, more sponsors, more media (including contracted photo, video and Internet-broadcasting crews) and continues a series of excellence that Godlike Entertainment began in 2005.

    When:
Friday, Oct. 15, through Sunday, Oct. 17, 2010.

    Where:

MoMo2 KTV & Tea Zone and Entertainment Center
2895 Olentangy River Road, Columbus, OH 43202

    Why you should care:
    • A world-championship face-off in one of the country’s most popular pastimes: gaming!
    • Street Fighter IV, with millions of copies sold, has resurrected the glory days of arcade brawling for both Gen-X old-schoolers and a whole new generation.

tournaments like this one are a total madness, in my neighborhood we organize a tiny tournament with games like those, well of course we can't give so wonderful prices like in this tournament, we recollect a little subscription to buy food and why not beers, the game that we more use is street fighter 4 and the king of fighter 98.
