New Left 4 Dead 2 Trailer! [Yup...Looks Like Its Infected With Awesome]

Thanks to Joystiq

The video may contain too much plot details, so if you are that interested in the Left 4 Dead 2 narrative I would suggest getting your head checked. Thanks. Now more than ever you can totally tell that the black southern guy is 'Cutty' from the Wire. I can't NOT be siked about this game ... [which is more than I can say if I were an Austrailian fan] so I may need skeptics out there to comment on how the game looks exactly like the first one and that it is not worth paying another 60 dollars for a game that "should" be downloadible content. Yeah...still siked!

Dante's Inferno: How Not To Promote A Game 101

I'm writing this assuming that Dante's Inferno is the perfect game. Why? With the marketing and promotional ills this game has suffered, one can only 'hope' that Dante's Inferno is absolutely immaculate.  Let this be known, I am all for 'thinking outside of the box' and making your product stand out [especially since there seems to be quite a few comparisons to a certain game associated with gods with possible war in it]. Dante's Inferno has managed to: stage a fake Christian protest at a major trade show, play the role of pimp by raffling off a date with a booth babe and most recently they have decided to send very real checks to well known [and maybe not so well known] gaming journalists.

Why I Still Play My Dreamcast...

The Sega Dreamcast launched September 9th, 1999.  It lost support in America in 2001, but the console was still made in Japan until 2006. If you look hard enough, games are actually still being made for the console.

Batman Is Awesome, But Until Recently His Games Sucked.

Apologies for the over-saturation of Joystiq clips [I promise they don't own stock in me or anything like that], but they do good work.  Props to Xav for posting this up.

Batman games have always sucked. Yes, even that catastrophe most of you guys hold dear to your childhood soles thanks to the NES.  Batman Arkham Asylum was released this week and word is...it's kinda nice.  I haven't played it, but I am a huge "Animated Series" fan so its money that's already gone from my account [I just gotta find time to play the damn thing].

Check out this clip of the storied history of the awesomeness of the caped crusader and the troubling woes of the awful games that were released only to besmirch his game in the video game realm.

For more on the sucky Batman video games...check out Xav's "Batman Retrospective" [it really is quite good].

Video: Gabe Newell on Left 4 Dead[2] and The PS3

Props to Geoff Keigley and the awesome staff over at Gametrailers for this segment. And what a segment it was [I apologize for all the 'videogamey commercial breaks], but Gabe gabbing about my favorite PC game is always going to make news on this part of the brog.

What is unfortunate to see is the lack of PS3 support. It isn't surprising, it isn't even something I blame him for, but out of all the beans he was willing to spill about showing interest in Wii and Natal to say 'No, we are not actively developing for the PS3' is pretty damn awful.

Brutal Legend: Metal Rubix Cube Soundtrack

Needless to say, my level of excitement is consistently bubbling for Tim Shaffer's newest endevour.  I have no idea how he is able to get such a banging soundtrack line up [something tells me having Electronic Arts as your publisher doesn't hurt]. The rights managment has got to be a pretty penny. In other news, I don't get Rubix cubes. My grandfather owned one and it seemed like everyone in my family knew how to solve it except for me. Crap...gotta go to work, just thought I would post this for anybody who is just as enthused about this game. [To the point of not watching anything from the game, but to watch the creator and someone who is clearly from PR talk at length about who is going to be on the game's soundtrack.]

GDC '09: God Of War III Leaked footage

Hey...remember, you didn't hear this from me, but this looks like this could be future crack!  I like the zombie head in front of the camera. He can't quit seem to move any other muscle. Should have gotten a front shot of him drooling on himself.

You See It's A Joystick, But It's Really A Penis

Standard UGO splash screen...

A young man named Patrick Alexander decided to give shameless dudes over at UGO advice on how to further objectify women. What occurs after the jump, could only be described as brilliant.

Shoryuken & 1up combine for Street Fighter IV impressions

Things don't really get super interesting until about 30 or 40 mins in.  Good to know Rose is a force to be wreckoned with.  Sagat, although I love playing as him...has always seemed cheap to me.  And let us all weep for Fei Long.
