The Ocean Pixy
Be amazed [and kinda weirded out], by the beautiful constructs of Juan Cabana. You know I never thought I had a fetish for mermaids...until now.
Although a great deal of movies completely fell short of being entertaining this year. There were pockets of brilliance this year. Even stranger would be a great deal of great features this year were of the animated persuasion. The larger more mainstream titles this year: Wall-E and Kung Fu Panda were great even for there kid and family friendly-ness. As far as independent movies there were plenty this year, but most notably would be the graphic novel adaptation of Persepolis. Though it was nominated last year, it came out this year with a moderate amount of buzz.
Fears of The Dark follows in similar steps as Persepolis. Where we have a movie with incredibly capable animators and storytellers, but with their varied backgrounds you can't help but think will a work like this be cohesive?
Man...i'm very close to puking right now...
In the spirit of Halloween, what would this years peak Autumn Holiday [HA! Take that Thanksgiving Day] be without some eerie and creepy visuals. Justin Aerni is an awesome photography, but I had NO idea he was into sculptures as much as he was/is! More specifically, baby heads? And the many variations of said baby heads.
After The Jump [his site] and more baby heads!
Shazam has never looked so glorious
I think we'll be able to look back on this and say, "You know what...no matter how [good/bad] MK vs DC was, that cover was damned pimpalicious."
And yes I have heard Shazam is apparently an unstoppable force in this 'just about to drop' title. What I'm most interested in would be given Midway's financial issues, how many more of these 'kind of' big budget titles do they have in them?
Light-Paint Piano Player from Ryan Cashman on Vimeo.
In lieu of me posting the new, fancy HD-movie ready D-SLR cameras; I thought it would be a good change of pace to show what can still be down with 'old technology' D-SLRs. I don't think I have to say how freaking difficult this is, but just in case...does anybody remember the California Raisin's commercials? Well those were actual built models...this guy, Ryan Cashman has a series of 20-30 second exposures, where in he lines them up and editted them into one movie which has his own music in it. How's that for inspiring? I believed he used a Canon Digital Rebel as well.
The Greatest Battle That Didn't Happen
Sucks I couldn't go. Also sucks that out of the two bboys headlining this event [Ata & Lil John] one couldn't make it.
According to the event thrower:
Lil John miss his flights two times, so in that situation we tryin get somebody on his place but in 24h organize a opponent for Bboy Ata its not easy job. So we dont gonna maked with that and we decide to put Ata on the mic, and make him a spiker what was really god decission, like Ata said after his bboy carrer he will be a long time spiker in many kind of events, lol.
We are very angry for that fact that Lil John dont show up, we bealive that was a just accident and u can be sure that this match up will be organize once again, but stay focus, cause it will be no promotable event, that will be straight up underground battle shit ever, nobody know where and when, just be preaperd...Hope, the rest of a battle was enough for everybody, and u can be sure guys that next year is preapering already and it will be no accident like that. PEACE!"
Wow...pretty cool and creepy...but more cool than creepy [a more thought out viewpoint of his work is in the works]
