Seaons Beatings 3 : This Weekend!

Who knew a gaming tourney could be so hood?

This weekend I'll be casually playing the best players at fighters...EVAR! I'm pretty siked...it looks like this could be one of the biggest gaming tournaments on the planet. Don't believe me? Check the shoryuken thread. My good friend Fugee of Godlike Entertainment is throwing this for the third year and every year it seems to just get larger and larger.

After the jump...the other side of an awesome flyer...

New BioShock 2 Trailer At End Of BioShock On PS3

I still think it is an odd thing to add to the PS3 version simply because it is 'this version'. Props to Videogaming 24/7 for posting this up.

After the jump...The larger youtube version.

Diablo III - Wizard trailer

Coming from someone who isn't in to 'the whole Diablo' thing.  This trailer is kind of the new crack for a PC gamer.  I wasn't really interested after Blizzard 'cloak & daggerly' announced the game, but consider my interest officially peaked.

Double props to Joystiq & Kevin Kelly for posting this.

Alex Ross Blesses The MK vs DC game cover!

Shazam has never looked so glorious

I think we'll be able to look back on this and say, "You know what...no matter how [good/bad] MK vs DC was, that cover was damned pimpalicious."

And yes I have heard Shazam is apparently an unstoppable force in this 'just about to drop' title.  What I'm most interested in would be given Midway's financial issues, how many more of these 'kind of' big budget titles do they have in them?

Undead Nights - Ridiculous Premise, Awesome Trailer

So it's medieval times, warring factions of two [or more] kingdoms and guess who shows up?  Zombies...knighted zombies! Max Brooks would be proud.  Seriously, this game could be crap...I want it...I want to play it...and hold it close to my bosom. Only thing is...it's on the friggen PSP! Since when do developers release heaps and heaps of game on the PSP!?

TGS 08: Ushiro, Tekken 6, Quantum Theory and more

Props to Joystiq's Andrew Yoon for posting this. I guess TGS has been rolling on with a suitable amount of small surprises.  I'm guessing today was more so focused on developers and handhelds. Above is Level-5's Ushiro, a horror-themed RPG which looks pretty sweet as an animated feature alone...the game looks okay too.

After The Jump: Tekken 6 Screens, Undead Knights hilarious trailer and Quantum Theory's trailer...

TGS 08: Clip Extravaganza!

Why are 'Booth Companions' Necessary?

Okay, I know what you're saying...well...if you are a guy I don't WANT to know what you're saying or thinking from looking at the image above.  If you are a woman...you're probably wondering why there are scantily clad women who look as if they have nothing else to do, but be scantily clad.  According to Brian Cresente of Kotaku.com, these are Tokyo Game Show's 'Booth Companions'.  Necessary? No. Weird and Pervy? Yes! But I'm guessing it wouldn't be a gamer convention without a certain degree of 'pervocity'.

After the Jump...The Full Halo 3: Recon Trailer, A Bayonetta Playthrough, Booth Companion Gallery...etc.

Nintendo Wii: World Of Goo Yes, Raving Rabbids TV Party NO!

I liked the first Raving Rabbids, but anything that's going to have you looking this ridiculous and also requires multiple peripherals [and ISN'T Rock Band] gets a big, leaky rolled-eye. Hey...it could be good...but do want to find that out? No, well...not unless my girlfriend is playing it...then I'll join in...because I'm cooler than she is and no how to work computers.

After the jump...something that actually looks good: The World Of Goo,

Game Trailers/News: A Weeks Worth Of Crap

Cosplayers: Because God Has Off Days Too...

Seeing as its been a minute [or two] since I've posted anything...let alone all-things gaming related [which is REALLY odd]. I think I'll do a smorgasbord of [new/old] newsiness. Also, in the spirit of TGS being this week and me having two friends who are actually there...you may see a fair amount of postings relating to whatever trickles out of one of the year's biggest conventions EVAR!

After the jump...MadWorld, Cosplayers, Punch-Out Trailers, Palin Chops AND MORE

David Jaffe On Brett Ratner On God Of War movie

It is almost as if he is talking directly to all of us isn't it? David Jaffe, the creator of the popular game "God Of War", decided to respond to the early [and possibly hasty] announcement of Brett Ratner being the director of GOW the movie. It's tough seeing Sir Jaffe like this, all defensive and over-explanatory and whatnot. Apparently, we have learned nothing from a certain "Too Human" Developer.

Honestly, most peoples' reactions to the news are quite genuine yet dramatic. Sentiments we are all hoping are found in Bratner's game-to-movie adaptation. It really is ridiculous that as soon as something like this announced, a 'nerd furor' erupts.  Moreover, people like Jaffe feel compelled to explain themselves. Why?
