Commercial Break: The New Dance Show

Okay, so my last post, a little heavier than I thought. Thanks for the kind e-mails. Looking back on it, I wonder if I should have posted it on multiple sites. "Shoot from the hip and speak from the heart." Something my mom always taught me [for better or worse]. Thanks for sticking with me, some thought it went over as well as a fart in church.

Here, this should lighten your week. A ridiculous clip of people dancing. I think that's what it's called right?

Edit: I just watched the clip again and I take it all back, this clip is f**king amazing!

Commercial Break: Too Much Awesome In One Video

Its about time the commercial breaks return. I'm not sure what to even comment on in this video. What would you comment on? The band? The obvious couple that we are all deeply envious of? The fact that the drums sound like paper airplanes hitting a dart board?

Commercial Break: The 'Antoine Dodson' Thing Is Done

Trying to remember every event that occurred in one month is a feat, but trying to remember a year's worth is damn taxing. One thing is for sure, I can rest easy knowing that Antoine Dodson, within one year, stole the hearts of the average Youtube viewer. Within that same year, the media and sites like this have managed to make the charming Dodson one of the most over-used memes in the history of 'memery'. So it is with a heavy heart that I say, "Antoine Dodson, your 15-minutes of fame are up."

Sidenote: Don't know what's worse, this song or the fact that this is the go-to ad for the George Lopez show.

Cheers.

Commercial Break: Photoshop Tutorial Rap

Props to CollegeHumor for this [which is a super rare prop I give]. I'll think of this the next time I make a banner for this site.

Commercial Break: Really Hope The Aliens Can't See This

Years from now I'd like to think we'd evolve past scenes like these. However, that evolution could mean that the general consumer who attends a Black Friday gathering [which in itself sounds cult like] may bring heavy artillery or invent new ways of torturing their fellow man for that Kitchenaid blender.
Welcome To Thunderdome.

Commerical Break: It's F**king Christmas

How you guys doing out there? Fantastic, I hope. I've been going through a tiny writing slump as of late. I think it could be because of all the ideas I write down, but when it comes to actually writing them...I get immediately uninspired.
Or maybe its because its effing Christmas? In the midst of my slump and this season of giving [or taking depending on how you see it], expect more awesome/horrifying videos like the one seen above.

Commercial Break: Possibly The Best Trailer For The Best Video Game Ever!

Finally, a trailer that has surpassed the immutable Executive Vice President Cat trailer. I'm glad to live in a world that you can play a game in Japan that has a table throwing peripheral. Hokkaido feel my wrath! Think about it, you too can be living the dream of throwing a table at a cafe, fancy restaurant, farmer's market, executive office, a doctor's office, Steven Siegal's house, and many more. Live the dream baby...live the damn dream.

Resident Evil Afterlife: Review -- "Fans Of The Genre..."

Even Milla's beautiful skin and limitless ammo could not save us from such a debacle of a film.

Striking cinematography, broad characters, Matrix-esque fight scenes supplied by a soundtrack weirder than a giant man carrying an ax-mallet, this is what the Resident Evil film franchise has been reduced to. I struggled with this review. Usually watching a movie I know in my heart and colon to be, at best, a junk food movie and at worst, cataract inducing -- its pretty cut and dry. The new Resident Evil movie hurts more than it helps videogame-to-movie adaptation gain some form of credulity. I avoid certain phrases in a lot in my game reviews and one of the contributing factors as to why scribbling these words [via keyboard] was more vexing was because I wanted to avoid the term, “Fans of the genre.”

Commerical Break: The Antoine Dodson Meme Will Never Die

I feel personally touched [pause] that the Antoine Dodson story -- which is really not a story or about Antoine Dodson for that matter, has gotten to be this large. How large you say? Come on! When established HBCU's are doing renditions of a song that was a rendition of your tale about your sister's pseudo-rape then you really have to look at this magical beast that is the internet and marvel at how it works.

Plus, I have family in Huntsville, AL so I feel kinda personally invested for no reason other than, "Yeah, I know an Antoine Dodson-type dude down in the south and he good people." And really, that's all that needs to be said.
